Terms of Service
Last updated: 6 July 2026
1. Overview
These terms apply when you subscribe to a website plan with South East Websites. By subscribing, you agree to the terms below.
2. The Service
We design and build a website for your business, and provide ongoing hosting, security updates, and a set number of content edits each month, as described on our Pricing page for your chosen plan.
3. Billing & Edits
Your first payment is taken when you sign up, and work on your site begins once it's received. After that, plans are billed monthly (or annually, if selected) in advance on the same date each period. Included edits reset each billing period and do not roll over if unused. Requests beyond your plan's included edits may be billed as a one-off charge, or you can upgrade to a plan with a higher allowance.
4. Cancellation
You may cancel at any time with 30 days' written notice (an email is fine). After the notice period, your subscription ends and your site will be taken offline unless you've arranged to move hosting elsewhere before that date.
5. Non-Payment
If a payment fails, we'll get in touch to sort it out. If payment isn't resolved within 14 days, your site may be taken offline until the account is brought up to date.
6. Domain Names
Any domain name registered on your behalf remains your property and can be transferred to another provider on request, even if you cancel your plan.
7. Ownership
Your business content - text, photos, and branding you provide - remains yours. The underlying design system, code, and templates used to build your site remain the property of South East Websites, and are licensed to you for use on your website for as long as you're subscribed.
8. Your Responsibilities
You're responsible for the accuracy of the content you provide, and for making sure your business complies with any laws or regulations relevant to what you advertise on your site.
9. Limitation of Liability
We'll do our best to keep your site online and secure, but we can't guarantee it will be available 100% of the time, and we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from its use.
10. Changes To These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date at the top.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland.
