Who We Are
This website is operated by South East Websites ("we", "us", "our"), based in South East Ireland. For any privacy questions, contact hello@southeastwebsites.ie.
What Information We Collect
We only collect information you choose to give us directly, such as when you:
- Email, call, or message us on WhatsApp
- Book a call using our calendar link
This may include your name, phone number, email address, and anything else you share with us in that message. We also use privacy-friendly analytics (see "Cookies & Tracking" below) to understand overall site visits. We do not currently use tracking cookies or any on-site contact form that stores data - if that changes, this section will be updated to reflect it.
Why We Use Your Information
We use the information you provide only to respond to your enquiry, provide a quote, or deliver the service you've asked for. This is on the basis of our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries, or to take steps towards a contract at your request.
How Long We Keep It
We keep enquiry and client information only for as long as needed to provide our service and meet any legal or accounting obligations, after which it's deleted.
Third Parties
Messages sent via WhatsApp are handled by WhatsApp/Meta under their own privacy policy. Depending on how you contact us, your message may also pass through your own email provider. We may also use a hosting provider to host this website, and Cloudflare to provide privacy-friendly site analytics (see "Cookies & Tracking" below). We do not sell your information to anyone.
Cookies & Tracking
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see how many people visit this site and which pages they view. It does not use cookies or any persistent identifier, and does not track you across other websites - it only produces aggregate visit statistics. Read more in Cloudflare's Web Analytics documentation. Beyond this, the site does not set any tracking or advertising cookies. The service area map on our Contact page loads map tiles from OpenStreetMap, which may log standard technical request data (like your IP address) as part of normal web hosting - this is the same as visiting any website with an embedded map.
Your Rights
Under GDPR, you have the right to:
- Ask what personal data we hold about you, and get a copy of it
- Ask us to correct inaccurate information
- Ask us to delete your information
- Object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use your information
- Ask for your information in a portable format
To exercise any of these rights, contact hello@southeastwebsites.ie.
Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you have the right to complain to Ireland's Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.
Changes To This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date at the top.
